Update on 3Commas API disclosure incident

On December 29th 2022 3Commas made an announcement regarding the leaking of API keys from the 3Commas project, confirming the leak of API keys. The statement from 3Commas can be found here: https://3commas.io/blog/notice-on-api-data-disclosure-incident. An FAQ is available here: https://3commas.io/blog/api-security-incident-faq.

As the 3Commas team is taking appropriate action and investigating further steps, we want to reiterate once more that DeCommas is not affected by this situation. DeCommas is run as a separate project, and has a 100% separation from 3Commas in terms of development. Our codebase and infrastructure have no connection with 3Commas’ applications. Participating in DeCommas’ DeFi strategies or interacting with any of our tools are in no way connected to your activities on 3Commas and linked CEXes, nor do they rely on API keys to function.  In our development we keep DeFi values such as transparency, trustlessness and composability in high regard. If you want to learn more about the development focus of DeCommas, please read on here → https://medium.com/@DeCommas/decommas-protocol-the-automation-layer-for-chain-agnostic-defi-strategies-35855c585ef0.

In short, your wallets connected to the DeCommas app are not affected in any way, shape or form by the 3Commas leak. If you have any concerns about your activities with 3Commas and or DeCommas, never hesitate to reach out to us via Discord / Twitter, or to 3Commas support.

DeCommas continues to build. In the coming year we’ll increase our focus on non-custodiallity, and can’t wait to share more details about this in the coming days.
